HAGERSTOWN, MD: The 2005 edition of the First Action Security Team Annual Convention takes on a revised format to allow for attendees to see more of the advances in alarm, CCTV, and other technologies as well as more opportunities to talk in-depth with representatives of the nation’s leading manufacturers.

Guy Kline, Vice President of Business Development for First Action, feels that this format provides FAST customers with the most information possible in this increasingly competitive industry. “Our extensive relationships with the major manufacturers in the industry allows us to provide our customers with unique opportunities to see products and services that they normally would see at the big trade shows and we provide this opportunity in their own backyard.” This years Convention is scheduled for April 20th and 21st at the Holiday Inn Chesapeake located at Woodlake Drive and Greenbrier Parkway in Chesapeake, Virginia. “The highlight of our annual Convention is the Wednesday Evening Trade Show”. “Another plus at the trade show is the opportunity to purchase products at greatly reduced prices,” states Kline. “ Each manufacturer discounts their products for this event, and we publish a special Showbook that promotes these deals.” “The book is then distributed to all our customers a couple of weeks in advance of the show.” “Everyone wins at this event.” added Kline.

Security industry representatives along with the D.C.J.S. will be given time during the Thursday’s proceedings to relate “infomercial style” sales and technical trainings on their latest and greatest offerings to the convention attendees. In conjunction with the highly popular Wednesday’s Business Social / Vendor Show, the attendee will get at least two opportunities for in-depth discussion on how they can improve their customer offerings by utilizing these products. In-service credits will be available from Thursday’s Seminars.

On Thursday evening, FAST will recognize their Top 20 Product Sales Champions. “In 2005, this recognition will take the form of an award night which will allow FAST to thank them for their hard work and dedication to making their areas safe and secure, and for their selection of FAST as their product supplier,” stated Mike Hutcher, Vice President of Product Services.

We will kick off Convention 2005 with our annual Golf Outing on Wednesday, April 20th. This years event will be held at Bide-A-Wee Golf Club in Portsmouth, VA. As always, this years outing promises to be a delightful event with special prizes being awarded to the Best Score, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Drive. What a great way to start the Convention!
